Deputy Minister of Transport
H.E. Kamarudin bin Jaffar completed his high school in Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK), Perak, Malaysia. MCKK is a premier residential school in Malaysia, in the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, Perak. It is sometimes dubbed "the Eton College of the East“. Later, he furthered his study in Bachelor Degree In Political Science at University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom.
As for his career, he started his career in the Civil Service Sector as an Administration and Diplomatic Officer under the Prime Minister’s Department. Later, he continued his career as a Lecturer in Political Science in National University of Malaysia (UKM), which is one of six research universities in Malaysia. He also held the role as the Chairman of Institute for Policy Research.
He started his political endeavor since 1999, when he became the Member of Parliament for Tumpat, Kelantan and Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur during the recent election. H.E. Kamarudin bin Jaffar has sworn in as Deputy Minister of Transport on 2nd July 2018.
